Lovin' It (See Jane Wear)

boots (less expensive version HERE and shop other OTK boots HERE), jeans (shop maternity jeans HERE),
cape (on sale HERE and shop black capes HERE), tank, similar sunglasses
A love wall with a big ol' pregnant belly?  It couldn't be a more perfect backdrop.  I love my new, little guy.  While it's fun being pregnant and all, I am so glad he's out.  That last month is pretty uncomfortable and I don't really miss having a huge basketball in my midsection.  Plus, I have a little baby to cuddle now!

Shirtdress + Jeans (See Jane Wear)

shirt dress (similar here, here shop more shirt dresses HERE), jeans (shop crop flare HERE)
shoes (shop Stuart Weitzman HERE), sunglasses (shop cat eye sunglasses HERE),
bag (shop gray bags HERE)
I'm keeping it short today and still showcasing some of my last maternity looks while I still have them! If you follow me on instagram, you know that I had Baby Teddy last week.  He was a bit of a surprise but I'll share the birth story later on.  For now, enjoy the rest of my maternity looks and I'll enjoy some snuggles with my new little guy.

P.S.  I know my reign with the bump is over, but a new season is upon us!  If you're looking for some more maternity ideas as we transition into fall, I'm loving Hatch (shop HERE) and Monrow (shop HERE).

Pearls of Wisdom (See Jane Wear)

necklace, dress (similar here, here and here), shoes, sunglasses, bag (similar)
I'm teaming up with Carolee to feature the 100% Pearls of Wisdom collection for a great cause:  $5 of each piece sold will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).  The collection is offered exclusively at Bloomingdales and as someone who isn't very good at accessorizing, I feel like these pearls are a no-brainer to spruce up any simple dress (even at 38 weeks pregnant!).  Shop other styles in the 100% Pearls of Wisdom collection here and here.

Cancer is something that affects many of us, unfortunately, and I'm no exception.  After losing my own father to cancer, I'm always happy to team up with organizations that are willing to put resources towards finding a cure.

The Easiest Fall Trends (See Jane Wear)

military jacket (less expensive version here and love this one), stripe top, white jeans (non-maternity version here),
mules (I want to splurge on these, though..), sunglasses
Before you come at me with pitchforks fact that my coat has (faux) fur and it's still early September, hear me out (it's still hot outside, I get it): this jacket is actually quite light.  And breathable.  And oversized.  And perfect for piling on the layers once set actually gets cold outside.  Military jackets are something I can't resist once fall clothing hits and when I saw this at Nordstrom a few weeks back, it was no different.

And because I can't resist trying the new trends in the fall while at Nordstrom, even while 9 months pregnant, I knew I had to try a pair of mules.  I know they started to make their debut on the scene a year ago but it was a trend I was slower to adopt--and I have no idea why...they're so comfortable!  (Perhaps it's the swollen feet talking.)  So many great designers at Nordstrom are featuring them for fall--from Phillip Lim to Sole Society.  Lastly, I kept it simple underneath, with a monochromatic uniform of neutrals and stripes; it's fresh and classic.

Tight (See Jane Wear)

skirt (similar here and hereshop pencil skirts HERE), vest (similar + shop vests HERE), bag,
maternity tank (shop maternity tanks HERE), heels (shop more block heels HERE), choker (shop more chokers HERE)
I've never worn such tight clothing in my life as I have the past few months.  It's summer, it's humid, but it's just more flattering to accentuate the bump than to hide it at this point.  These pictures are a few weeks old, but I'm coming up on 38 weeks, which is when I had Harry.  I'd like this baby to cook just a bit longer so I can continue to get things done but we all know children have their own agendas.  Let's hope I get two more full weeks!

A Tale of Two Dresses (See Jane Wear)

dress #1 (look for less here) / dress #2 (look for less)
OTK boots (similar and look for less)bag, sunglasses
September 1st: not quite fall but feels like the official transition out of summer.  For the next month, I'll enjoy light jackets and bare legs without oppressive humidity.  I bought my last pair of over-the-knee boots at Nordstrom nearly two years ago and they are still in awesome condition considering how much I wear them and how brutal Chicago winters can be; they were easily worth the investment!  So, when I saw this other Stuart Weitzman pair with a low heel at Nordstrom, I knew I had to jump on them early for fear that they'd sell out before the first leaf falls. I did the same with easy sweater dresses while perusing Nordstrom.  Yes, I bought myself two of them (hey, they're different styles) and yes they're both black; but honestly, they're something I can wear now and later on with tights--even 9 months pregnant and especially postpartum!  (I'm a seasoned shopper and can assure you that the best things often sell out before you can even wear them.) Dressing after a baby is born is quite a feat, but with these easy investments under my belt, I feel confident that I still be stylish this fall no matter what shape my body is in.
