Laces Out (See Jane Wear)

top (similar), jeans, shoes (less expensive version here), bag
 Happy Friday!

This top is old but lace-up shirts are definitely not hard to come by.  Here are some favorites here (it looks like Frame at a fraction of the price!), here (perfect and casual), and here (the hood makes it great for a post-workout top).

Little Secret (See Jane Wear)

dress (similar here and here and here), shoes, sunglasses
I mentioned on instagram last night that I never quite know what I'm looking at in these blog photos. Checking for my shadow?  Looking at my pedicure?  Who knows.  All I know is that blog photos can be quite awkward, but I'm constantly moving to make sure I'm not just smiling and posing for the camera.  And there we have it: the reason why bloggers always look like they're doing something--anything, but posing for the camera (even though we are).

Tropical (See Jane Wear)

dress (30% off right now! and shop more off the shoulder dresses HERE), mules (similar on sale,
Chanel bag (shop Chanel bags HERE), Celiné sunglasses
I like neutrals; you all know that by now.  Sometimes, though, you need to throw caution to the wind and go crazy with a print.  Honestly, I'm gravitating towards some color and prints for fall.  It's time to stand for something rather than blend in all the time, am I right?!

The Tight Stuff (See Jane Wear)

Three dots dress (similar + shop Three Dots dresses HERE), jean jacket (similar + shop jean jackets HERE),
shoes (similar), sunglasses (shop cat eye sunglasses HERE), bag (shop boho bags HERE)
I'm not a person who wears tight dresses--except during pregnancy.  It's fun to go along with your body changes and embrace your curves (because I have very few when I'm NOT with child).  I figure that I can't fight it, so I might as well embrace what I have.  But, please, intervene when I start wearing bandage dresses circa 2009.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Picks: Luxe + Budget (See Jane Shop)

Anniversary Sale is quite the production.  And quite honestly, there is SO MUCH STUFF, which makes it hard to navigate--even if you consider yourself an expert shopper.  I've separated out my picks into two categories.  On top you'll find my luxe picks--think investment pieces at more elevated price points (i.e. stuff that you can wear now for months and all winter for years to come).

Below are my less expensive (think most under $100) picks--fun, budget-friendly pieces to add some oomph to your wardrobe.  Happy shopping!

Cape Cod Travel Guide (See Jane Go)

I just spent some time in Cape Cod for the first time and I was so entranced by it that I thought I'd share some of my favorite things to do.  I was a Cape Cod virgin prior to this trip so feel free to share some favorites or add on to what I missed!

  • Visit Provincetown--it's worth the drive.  Fun fact: the Mayflower actually landed here and the Pilgrims hung out for a few months before eventually settling the famous Plymouth.  The town is vibrant, fun, colorful and the food is amazing.  (It reminded me of Key West with Cape Cod architecture.)  Must eat: Canteen for a lobster roll and Happy Camper for the best cookie ice cream EVER.
  • Best beaches (that I visited): Coast Guard National Beach for vast beaches and seal sightings (it's on the Atlantic side of the Cape) and Mayflower Beach, which is on the bay.  The waves are calm and the sand is pillowy and white--great for families.
  • Eat as much seafood as possible.  It was really hard for me to pass up oysters on the half-shell...I love them.  I guess it was kind of fun watching Eric eat them?  Anyway, he raved about how amazing every oyster he ate was and I was brimming with jealousy.  I also ate lobster and clams every day.  Delicious casual seafood spots: The Friendly Fisherman and Sesuit Harbor Cafe.
  • I stayed at the Platinum Pebble Inn, located in Harwich.  Honestly, this place is a huge reason why I had such a great trip to Cape Cod.  The rooms are impeccably clean, breakfast is served daily, the settings are lush, beautiful and private and the owners are the most accommodating people I've ever met.  They gave us daily suggestions and were amazingly helpful.  Plus, they have two English Bulldogs, so they must be ok :)
  • Other great places to eat:  Ocean House for a modern twist on delicious seafood (and the view!), Sundae School for your ice-cream fix (get the grape nut ice cream), and Buca's if you need a break from the seafood.  I didn't spend much time in Barnstable but we got a coffee at Nirvana Coffee Company and it was incredible.

Before the Swell (See Jane Wear)

dress (top version here + shop more off the shoulder dresses HERE),
shoes (shop ankle strap heels HERE), bag (shop boho bags HERE)
I told you I'd be wearing a lot of dresses.  Sure, I throw a pair of pants on here and there, but it's hot and my undercarriage needs to breathe.  I'm not swollen....yet, but with about 10 weeks until my due date, I figure this heat and humidity will make me swell up any day.

Pregnant Boho (See Jane Wear)

dress (extra 40% off sale price HERE + shop Rebecca Taylor dresses HERE), shoes (also here and shop lace-up sandals HERE),
Celine sunglasses, Chlo√© bag (also here)
Rebecca Taylor dresses have been my absolute jam while pregnant.  Pregnancy allows me to really tap into a feminine side that I usually suppress; it's not that I don't appreciate all things girly, but rather, I tend to prefer a more classic and slightly androgynous look.  I guess it's something about all those hormones and emerging curves--makes you want to be barefoot and I right?!

Also loving this RT dress, this one and this one.
