Trading Up (See Jane Wear)

Remember when I was waxing on about scarves being my favorite accessory a couple weeks ago?  Yeah, they still are–and I’m still buying them from Nordstrom.  A simple scarf can totally transform an outfit.  And here’s something else I’ve realized about scarves over the years: they make your outfit look expensive.  Women in scarves, men in scarves–doesn’t matter..scarves are like trading up your basic outfit for a much richer model.

So now that you know my secret, I’ll let you in on another tip–scarves don’t have to BE expensive to look expensive.  This super soft scarf I’m wearing is less than $40 from Nordstrom–-believe it!  A few others that look much more expensive than they are (and trust me–I saw them for myself at Nordstrom because I basically am there every other day) this grid pattern scarf and this blanket scarf.  The moral of the story is this: scarves should be your go-to accessory this season and every fall/winter from here on out–the return on investment is real, after all!
