Fall Maxi Skirt (See Jane Wear)

skirt (similar here and less expensive version here), similar sweater (also similar)
booties (similar here and less expensive version here), chanel bag (similar)lipstick: 'vesuvio'

This outfit may not scream '90s' to you but I'd like to thinking I'm channeling a modern Elaine Benes.  In the early seasons, she was always rocking midi skirts and sweaters (blazers, too) and as soon as I put this on, I thought, 'yep, I'm going to Jerry's apartment.'

But seriously, I love that this ALC skirt from Nordstrom can be just as easily worn with chunky turtlenecks as it could with a slinky cami (which I plan on doing tonight in Palm Springs).  But I live my life in a cold, Midwestern city and the jeans/boots combination gets old quickly; Nordstrom has tons of perfect chunky knits that I already buy, but I paired them with a midi skirt to inject some freshness into my wardrobe.  When it came to shoes, Elaine would've donned some keds, but I stayed true to myself and went for some fall booties (although, Nordstrom has some awesome white sneakers that would've looked super unexpected and hip).  So there we have it: the modern-day Elain Benes, which is totally appropriate for my life right now as Teddy has a very George Constanza hairline at the moment.

*Thanks to Nordstrom for partnering with this post!
