Suede Shorts Two Ways (See Jane Wear...Twice)

suede shorts outfit
image via instagram
Suede shorts aren't really something you look at as an investment piece.  But, I can't help it--every time I buy an article of clothing, I force myself to think of three ways I'd wear it and these shorts were no exception.  Yes, I realize this is only two ways, but a third would be a slouchy, cream sweater and booties; I plan on doing it come fall time.

Look 1:
Zara shorts (sold out, but similar here)
IRO white blazer (similar IRO white blazer + here)
J Crew silk cami
M Gemi flats

Look 2:
Zara shorts (similar)
Club Monaco sweater
J Crew necklace
J Crew flats (old but similar here)

The Wrap Sandal (See Jane Wear)

celine-trapeze-bag outfit distressed jeans
TopShop funnel neck top (sold out but similar here and here), J Brand jeans,
Steve Madden heels (similar)
, Celine bag
I've been on the hunt for a strappy, black, heeled sandal for quite some time.  I nearly bit the bullet with this Aquazzura pair (shop Aquazzura shoes HERE), then this Stuart Weitzman pair (shop Stuart Weitzman sandals HERE) and just couldn't stomach the full-price.  When I saw this Steve Madden pair, I knew it was it.  Sometimes, nothing will do except the look for less.  Sometimes you splurge and sometimes you save...and I decided to do the latter.

Shop similar distressed, black jeans here.

Shop sleeveless sweaters here.

PS Although this sweater is sold out, it WAS part of Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale!  Shop some more of my picks below.

Vest Over Dress (See Jane Wear)

rag-and-bone-vest outfit
rag & bone vest (on sale - runs big), H&M dress (old but similar),
J Crew heels, Saint Laurent sunglasses
Yes, I know I just featured this vest, but I can't help it--I wear it a lot.  And long vests will be everywhere this fall/winter so might as well get used to them now.  (Shop some vest options here)  There's something about masculine vest over delicate pleats--it's a great juxtaposition.

Shop white, pleated dresses here.

Shop ankle strap heels here.

Shop Saint Laurent sunglasses here.

Ladylike Dress (See Jane Wear)

rebecca-taylor-tie-dye-maxi work outfit
Rebecca Taylor dress (on sale here and here), ShoeMint mules (on sale!),
Saint Laurent sunglasses,
Chanel bag
When I saw this dress, it was love at first sight.  But, I really try not to pay full prices for them, so I had to wait it out (it's a cost per wear thing with me--I'm funny like that).  It was worth the wait--I promise.  It's flattering, I can wear it to work, it's perfect for summer...the list goes on.  Plus, it's on sale everywhere.  I might have to spring for this coordinating jumpsuit because you know I can't resist a good pair of culottes (here, here, here--yikes, I have a problem).

What's an item you'll only buy on sale?

More to come--like my favorite items under $100 (this coat and this fur stole definitely are on my list).

Office Style (See Jane Wear...At Work)

#ootd via instagram
Believe it or not, I wear more outfits than you see on my blog.  I know--it's crazy!  But honestly, although I love jeans, I do love getting dressed up for work each day.  I work at a fashion company so I feel the need to dress the part.  What's better than a business casual dress code and the freedom to wear what I want each day?  Not much, my friends.

To get a glimpse of what you don't see on the blog, follow me on instagram here (I also snapchat from time to time under username: seeannajane).

Short Hair / Long Vest (See Jane Wear)

white-leg-white-pants rag-and-bone-vest
Chelsea 28 pants, J Crew tank, Rag & Bone vest (on sale!), ShoeMint mules (on sale!),
Clare V clutch, Ray Ban aviators
My hair is short, but my pants are long.  I cut my hair into a 'lob' every summer but this time, I went for the full-on bob.  I can barely put my hair into a man-bun--it's that short!  #shorthairdontcare  Well, I kinda care.  I'm still getting used to it.

True Blue (See Jane Wear)

Zara top (old but similar), Zara midi skirt (old but similar), J Crew heels (old but similar),

I'm getting there with my patriotism this week; I've got blue down, time to bust out the white and red.

But really, I'm ready for a holiday.  Any plans for the 4th?
