Artichoke + Pesto Pizza (See Jane Cook)

Pizza is easily one of my favorite foods that I don't make nearly enough.  When you buy pre-made dough (from Trader Joe's, for example), it's so easy to create your own!  I had an abundance of basil, so made my own pesto to top the pizza and added some favorite ingredients: marinated artichokes, red onion and fresh mozzarella.  Bon app├ętit!

(*disclaimer:  I find the best way to bake these pre-made pizza dough is at 450 degrees on a pizza stone for 8 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 and transfer to a baking sheet for another 5 minutes...but that may just be my oven)

hi @Heba - the yellowish-green pieces are the marinated artichokes :)

I love using the TJs crust and brushing it w/ EVOO and throwing it on the grill! I brush the other side, flip it, remove it, add ingredients and put it back on to finish it off.

When I first saw this post I was scared you made the dough. That's the only thing that holds me back from cooking my own pizza. I'm glad you used Trader Joe's! I love TJ's!

Have you tried the Bob's Red Mill crust? It's my runner up (love the trader joe's one) but it's a good gluten-free alternative!
