Opposites Attract (See Jane Wear)

Zara coat + sweater, thrifted shirt, J Brand jeans, H&M belt, unknown necklace, Reed Krakoff boots, Karen Walker sunglasses

The top half of this outfit is a casual-classic while the bottom is, well, something a bit edgier.  I saw these Reed Krakoff boots on sale at Saks after Christmas and was in awe by their unique and angular architecture.  They'll probably be just as fun with a more fashion-forward outfit (I envision wearing them bare-legged with a pastel, knee-length skirt in the spring) but for now, I'm putting my own personal spin on them and pairing them with some classics that I wear day to day.

Those are some seriously beautiful booties! Love that they are classic and versatile with a little bit of their own unique spin. Reed Krakoff makes such lovely things. Bonus points that they seem to match your skin tone so well. Can't wait to see how else you style them up!

Those shoes are amazing! They're so edgy, but I kind of feel like they're a necessary basic! I think I might need them.

sometimes, shoes with a really unique structure that are a true statement are paired better with classic, more subdued pieces that we are used to wearing. they can then really stand out, whereas, while wearing a super edgy head to toe look is fun, they may be swallowed and lost in other pieces.

love how you mixed the gingham and the stripes, perfect!

Let's start with those AMAZING shoes shall we? They make your already tall self look so long and lean, my short stumpy legged self is jealous! Such a refreshing look with the different patterns and textures all intertwined!

I want to see how else you style them, perhaps with a little floral dress and denim coat?

The boots are quite fashion-forward, but the soft neutral color makes them fit with almost anything.
