Resolutions, Continued (See Jane Resolve)

I mentioned last week that I plan on eating breakfast in the new year and while I haven't every, single day, I'm definitely having it more regularly (as opposed to never).  I thought I'd share a few more resolutions I have for 2012:
  • Call rather than text.  While texting has become second nature, I've decided that it's time to a.) use the phone function of my device and b.) speak in actual words rather than, IDK, acronyms.
  • Make more conscious decisions.  Whether it's choosing a bright and healthy Trop50 orange juice beverage over a bag of chips (my weakness) or buying an uber-trendy item that I'll wear once, it's time for me have less regrets.
  • Watch less TV.  It's going to be near impossible to tear myself away from a Lifetime movie on Sunday afternoon but my books won't read themselves.
  • Get organized.  Donate clothes.  Replace donated clothes.  Repeat.
  • Incorporate more color into my life.  Food, drink, clothing, experiences, decor, etc--it's going to be a long winter and I have to fend off seasonal affective disorder (SAD--how appropriate) somehow.
  • Update my 'about me' section (see right).  Time to admit to myself that I'm 27.
It's clear that I have some ulterior motives behind some of my resolutions.  If you have any good resolutions (or real reasons behind them), you can post them on Trop50's facebook page here (and also a chance to win $1,000)!

  1. I can't remember the last time I ate breakfast on a work day. I need to resolve to do that, too!

  2. I'm on the organization kick as well! clothes are in bags, now they just need to get out the door!

  3. Such wonderful resolutions! I know you'll be able to do them all :D
I should really make some, but I never keep them...

  4. I made the same resolution to call rather than to text! I love texting, but actually hearing other people's voices makes a huge difference.

Good luck with that and the rest of your goals!

  5. Great resolutions- I definitely need to make more conscious decisions as well! No more wasting money on a shirt I wear once!

  6. I don't eat a big breakfast every morning but I stock up on the Chobani greek yogurt. The mango one and peach one are both delicious! The grocery store near me frequently has 10 for $10 deals.

  7. great resolutions!!

  8. Calling instead of texting is SUCH a great resolution! I think the only person I talk to on the phone every day is my Mom! Thanks for sharing!

  9. Even if you have to say you are 27, you could also include your hubby in the about me! total silver lining...

  10. These are great ones, Anna -- I love the getting organized one...

  12. Great resolutions, stay strong in keeping them!
