Prim (See Jane Wear)

American Vintage sweater, Club Monaco blouse, Gap skirt, Prada booties, Jewelmint necklace (c/o)

I don't always don a fur vest à la Cher (as my dad likes to call me when I wear it).  In fact, many days, I like to keep it buttoned-up; I attribute this habit to four years of working in a corporate environment.  Nowadays, I can be a little edgier with my workwear and I'm getting there...slowly but surely.  To me, this outfit looks perfectly prim on top with a bottom half that's unexpected--a mini skirt with (faux) leather detailing and my tallest, black booties.

Prim and polished with the perfect punch of edge from the skirt. I love it!

I find myself doing the same thing with workwear. I've always had the ability to go a little edgier, but consistently find myself leaning more prim. Just seems right when it comes to work. :)

sometimes, illuminating your personal stylistic flair while still being confined by constraints like "business ware" is when the most creative, and edgy in a sense, looks occur. i work in strategy and marketing, so need to be professional, but still manage to bring in my own flavor.

love this look!

This is great! I, too, have trouble changing up the expected workwear and making it edgier. It's so easy to play it safe! I love the little details in this outfit, but the printed blouse peeking out from under the sweater is my fave!
