Marla (See Jane Wear)

Kenna-T jacket, BB Dakota vest, Old navy top, J Crew skirt + tights
Nope, this wasn't my Halloween costume--just a theatrical outfit to get me through a dreary Wednesday. The leather, the fur and black (clothes and roots) all rolled into one made me feel a bit like Marla from Fight Club; or perhaps a modern-day Cruella Deville, no?  Either way, I'm ok with it and realized that as long as you wear fur and/or leather on the 8AM train to the Loop, people wearing business casual just may stare.

Have a great weekend!

What shoes did you wear with this incredible outfit??

I really like this outfit. I may just make my own fur vest from some leftover faux fur from Halloween. Now that'd be funny.

Amazing. I love the fur vest. I was tempted to buy one the other day but didn't think I could pull it off like this.

HI @stephanie - I wore simple black wedges! I took these pics in a rush and didn't get many full length shots but they definitely didn't detract from the business happening up top :)

Haha, Anna, you are hysterical. I love this look -- that jacket is just perfection.

Let them stare. You look fabulous. Love those tights.

What a fantastic fur vest. I keep trying to wear a fur vest, but I feel like the bulkiness makes them difficult for me to pair with jackets, but I love the way you did it here.

The polka dot tights are unexpected, but really pull this look together! Beautiful styling :)

Love the vest under the bomber... though I feel like if I did that my bomber would become a big leather sausage.
And... that sounds awkward.

I think this look is gorgeous and not at all theatrical. The black pieces you're wearing are subtle enough to balance out the vest/jacket combo... Which looks absolutely incredible!! Love this <3shelby

I'm in love with those tights. Stunning! and I have a fur vest that's been sitting in my closet for a good year. I get too nervous to wear it thinking I can't pull it off. You've inspired me to bust that out soon! Pretty outfit.

Love that smart casual chic get-up! I know the perfect match for it - I wanna add magnetic bracelets by ulinx.com to this list. Imagine, a single bracelet can transform into a multitude of designs, and can be worn as a cocktail ring, a necklace, an armband, an anklet…the possibilities are endless. That's real value for money. Check em out and sign-up to their newsletter http://cot.ag/pMjCSt. Imagine, they're giving away 8 bracelets in a simple competition! I wish to score one for myself :-)
