what do you think is the more important piece featured here: the curious (unnecessary?) re-branding of the AIDS ribbon or the flare jeans? (it's 2011, i hope i can just italicize that without an adjective for people to get what i mean) because judging on the choices you made with regard to each piece's emphasis in the photos provided, it kinda looks like you might think it's the flare jeans. ironic that on the 20th anniversary of Magic Johnson's retirement from the NBA, we see his cause reduced to a footnote for another shit-shoveled dose of self promotion; heaped on the pile – 21 comments – #dailyoutfit – #goodcause
Those shoes are fabulous! And this a great cause to support. As for what Anonymous said here, I would say the jeans are amazing (your butt looks great!), and you gave plenty of service to the pin. Not that you need validation from me, but I thought I'd add my 2 cents.

Who the hell said anything about Magic Johnson? Wouldn't she first have to mention him in order to co-opt and trivialize his cause?
Besides, you'll note that she wore the ribbon, told her readers where they could purchase it and what cause went to support and said ribbon clearly visible in two of three photos.
I think she did enough – but hey, nice work hiding behind your anonymity in order to white knight for a cause that you feel strongly enough about to call into question someone else's earnest support, but not quite strong enough to comment under your own name. Keep up the good fight, Anonymous – what cause is that again? Society for the Prevention of Flare Jeans or Histrionic Internet Trolls R' Us?

hey @anon – I apologize if you don't think the cause is at the forefront enough in the post. Kenneth Cole requested that we post pictures of us wearing it and since this is a style blog, I felt it was appropriate to incorporate it into my normal outfit posts (as I did, in fact, wear it all day with that outfit). I do support AIDS awareness and would not have worn the pin (or posted pictures of me wearing it) if I didn't.
Love to see you supporting such a great cause, especially with such a great outfit 🙂 The pink lining peeking out from under the sleeve of your blazer is adorable!
