Pastel (See Jane Wear)

banana republic chambray shirt (a staple worn here and here) + necklace (c/o), rory beca dressh&m belt, j crew heels,
c/o alex + ani feather bangle

I hate it when I buy an item, like a dress, that only gets worn once or a handful of times.  I bought
this dress for a wedding in June and slowly but surely it was pushed to the back of my closet.
During a slight panic while furiously looking for something else, I rediscovered the said dress and
determined to make it work for a more casual evening out.  Chambray and a wide leather  belt
instantly dress anything down and this dress was no exception.  The palette was soft and feminine
and the chambray and leather toughened it up a bit.

In related news, I met up with my San Francisco friend, Anh, on Saturday night along with Taylor, Audrey and Jennifer.  Anh and I became friends when I was traveling out to San Fran every week for work and it was so fun to have her in my neck of the woods.

LOve how you've paired the dress with the shirt to pair it down. I have a habit of buying dresses and only wearing them once, I need to work on it.

this outfit is just so simply pretty, it's very modern marie antoinette with its colors and styling.

my weekend consisted of quite a bit of travelling to cape cod in massachusetts for a vacation. but also some pleasant antique and consignment shopping along the way!

I love this outfit - really cute colors and a great layering. I've never thought that a necklace like this would look good with the dress in this color, but it looks amazing!

Love this look - such a perfect way to style the dress and it's always satisfying to get some use out of something that's been sitting unused for a while.

I love this dress and how you have dressed it down. I know what you mean, there are so many things that I buy and rarely wear, it's great to mix it up like you have done here.

Oh wow, who would have thought that dress was pushed in the back of the closet. That whole look is amazing and I am not ashamed to say I am going to try my best to dupicate it.

Great post!

So, pretty soon models will be out of a job. There is something really creepy about that

This happens to me, also- I buy something, wear it once (if that) and then totally forget about it.

Great remixing; love the chambray over the dress!

Love this look layered with casual extras...the chiffon would be wayyyy to dressy for everyday street wear but that chambray totally tones down the look...especially for a night on the town with the girls...you look fantastic!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog sweets, hope to see you back again soon!
