Chicago Architecture (See Jane Tour)

About a month ago, I went on the Chicago Architecture Tour.  If you're visiting during summer
or if you live in Chicago and have yet to take one, I highly recommend it.  Our fair city has unique
buildings along with some great history.  Although I've lived here for four years now, it seems that
I'm just now getting a feel for Chicago (I've spent the larger part of my years here traveling during
the week, so it never quite felt like home) and that I still have a lot to learn.

Even though other cities, like New York, San Francisco and London, really capture my heart
and I love them more than most, I'm starting to realize that Chicago is actually a pretty good
place to live.

Are there any special summer activities where you live?

I love Chicago but have never taken an architecture tour... Sounds like fun! I love going to the Walker Sculpture Garden in St. Paul and walking around Minneapolis lakes in the summer.

I have never been in Chicago but with this post, it is one of my next places to visit. Have you been in Asturias (in the north of Spain)? Tomorrow, I will post in my blog one of the most beautiful sites that I discovered during my holidays. I will notice you. XXXX

My boyfriend and I are dying to visit Chicago! I've only ever heard good things about it.

I just moved to New York this summer, and there are so many summer activities it's almost overwhelming. Since I'm settling in as a resident, I'm always too embarrassed to do super touristy things... But next week a friend is visiting and we decided to do the ultimate tourist week. Very excited!

That tour sounds great - I'm going to be in Chicago in January for the conference and I'll have to try to squeeze that in!

The architectural boat tour is one of my FAVORITE things to do in the summer. I never get sick of it and it's like I learn something new each time.

I live in a town with a high Portuguese population, and each year we have Festa..which essentially is more important that christmas here:p it's three days of food, drinking, dancing, and celebration of the culture. i'm not even a little bit Portuguese, but it's fun either way C:

Nothing beats seeing the architecture from that perspective. Except perhaps an indoor architectural tour. It's the perfect complement. Company called Chicago Detours offers them year-round. Highly recommend it.
