Ashes (See Jane Paint)

Behr Paint and Primer in Ashes, PB bedding, Homegoods striped pillows, and Skyline headboard
As you may know, I painted my room a couple weeks ago and while doing so, learned a few things about myself in the process.  First, I need to work out.  I made a few rolls with the extended roller and Eric decided that he could push harder.  He could and he did...time to get back to the gym.  Next, I'm more of a 'paint the trim' kinda gal.  I have more patience when it comes so small nooks and crannies, so the trade-off worked out well.  Lastly, I'm a pretty good taper and I really enjoyed doing it.  I may never know why I found it so therapeutic.

Although I painted, please still consider this photo a "before" shot.  I plan on doing a little more decorating and will be sure to share an "after" (so far I have a bed, dresser, night stands...yeah, that's it).   Also, the lighting makes it look a bit taupe-y here, but I assure you it's very gray.

Also, be sure to enter the Soc Chic giveaway which ends Friday (click below).

  1. I love the gray! What a great shade for a bedroom. And I too tend to be better at brush-painting little nooks and crannines.

  18. I love it and can guarantee you that painting is a lot more fun than 5lb weights. Especially since a 5lb weight can hit you in the head on the way back down. Not pretty.
