Tastes Like Spring (See Jane Cook)

While I love cold-weather eats and all types of comfort food, sometimes the heaviness gets me down and I end up craving something light.  I wanted a dish with a lot of color and shrimp--it was the perfect opportunity to have this Asparagus Shrimp Pasta. I incorporated a few more veggies to get in my daily dose, and it was just was the doctor ordered to cure those winter blues (it's not called SAD for nothing).

That look so much better and fresher than the Bertolli frozen version of that exact meal that my mom bought last week. If only I could get her to use a recipe so she doesn't screw it up...

Question, what kind of flash do you use when taking pictures of your food? Thanks!

hi @rosa - I try to avoid the flash as much as possible. I'm pretty sure these pictures are flash-free...I just try and take them in a well-lit area.

This sounds amazing! Not a shrimp fan but could turn it into a vegetarian dish real quick ;) Those bright colors are uplifiting, definitely suffering from SAD myself! Maybe we should plan a Chicago blogger outing?!

Ohhhh this looks so good! I'd swao the shrimp for chicken because I'm not a shrimp fan, but I love light meals with color like this.
