Sexy Specs (See Jane Have Four Eyes)

Here's a fun fact about me:  I might as well be legally blind (for all you contact wearers, my prescription is -6.5 in both eyes).  I have had the worst eyesight for as long as I can remember.  My first pair of glasses were huge, dark brown, and covered most of my face; I'm pretty sure a hipster is wearing them as we speak.  Needless to say, I haven't been a huge fan of glasses since that time of my life.  I occasionally wear them to work to give my eyes a break, but I've never braved wearing them out for a night on the town.  My current glasses are the first pair I've ever consistently worn in public, but ever since my sister visited the Warby Parker showroom in NYC, I've been dying for a pair of their frames.

Warby Parker is a great company, from what I've read.  Every single pair of glasses is $95 and they'll even send you a pair to try on before making a decision.  I can't wait to pick some!

I used to hate that I needed glasses (especially in junior high and high school) but I've been getting really into frames in the last five years and now I sort of love that I can have a totally new look by wearing my glasses.

Gaaah! I am so jealous of her! I love the company's one-for-one charity structure (Just like Tom's) and they are so prompt and polite.
The virtual try-on was hilarious, but having them send you pairs is great...but it's hard to choose just 5!

My first pair of glasses (big, with pink and gold print frames) scarred me for life as well. But I finally have a pair of Coach ones that I'm not completely embarrassed by... These are all darling, though! I love the Huxley ones; so cute!

"I'm pretty sure a hipster is wearing them as we speak." haha.

Those are amazing! And the price is totally right. Those Fillmore ones are insanity!

let me know which ones you end up with... and you should definitely rock them for a night on the town. when I do, I always feel sort of hidden like I'm observing the goings-on... it's definitely a trip.

I've heard amazing things about this company too! And you should totally rock the glasses in public. I JUST got my first pair of glasses last year, and I picked a full on geek-chic pair like "fillmore ", and they're a hit! I think you'd look gorgeous. Cute blog btw. xo
